At Jars of Clay, we believe pottery is not just about making objects—it's about creating space. Space to slow down, to listen, and to reconnect with the simple act of making.

Our studio is a sanctuary where time slows down, and every creation becomes a meditation. We combine traditional techniques learned from master potters across India with contemporary sensibilities to create pieces that tell quiet stories.

From hand building to wheel throwing, from glazing to kiln firing, we offer experiences that connect you to centuries of human creativity and craftsmanship.

“Every piece of clay holds a story waiting to be told. Our hands simply help it find its form.”

The Journey

My journey didn't begin in a pottery studio—it began in classrooms, research papers, and questions about the world. Studying Political Science at the Central University of Hyderabad and working as a University Grants Commission Research Fellow, I spent years understanding systems, people, and lived realities.

But somewhere along the way, I found myself drawn to something quieter.

Clay entered my life as a pause—one that slowly became a practice. I trained across studios in India, learning hand building at Mati Earth in Goa, exploring surfaces through a glaze course at Anvi Pottery in Maharashtra, and finding rhythm in wheel throwing at Vedas Pottery and Anvi.

Working in studios and hosting workshops, I discovered that pottery is not just about making objects—it's about creating space. Space to slow down, to listen, and to reconnect with the simple act of making.

“Today, my work is a reflection of this journey—where structure meets softness, and where every piece carries a quiet story of presence, patience, and becoming.”
